Field trip horror story

some true field trip horror stories experiences would give you a lifelong medical condition because of how scary they are while some would send shocking chills down your spine I will be taking you through some horrifying stories of such so sit back and relax Story one the strange man in the wood this occurred in my sophomore year of high school I remember I registered for an elective course called outdoor activities we had an easy and enjoyable gym class outside where we practic several activities it seems like we studied a different topic each week and they were all related to the outdoors we played tennis one week and learned how to fish the next specifically during this week we were going on Hikes earlier in the week we went for a walk along a route close to the school we then went on a field trip to a local state park later in the week in the meantime the park featured a wide variety of trails and was fairly big Mr Ahmed our teacher was setting the example for the rest of us I wasn't the class representative and I honestly can't remember how many students there were in the small class it was probably about 20 or 25 people we boarded a school bus on the day of the field trip and the 21-minute ride there went like this since I had maths class the next day I wasn't too upset that the class time would run longer than normal and that we would be able to skip the first portion of the next lesson now that we had arrived at the park I could could see the area after we had all landed there was a lake a picnic place nearby numerous roads and a sizable wooded area but before long Mr Ahmed began walking quickly down one of the paths into the woods and made it plain that we were there to walk not to play around we were tempted to play a little though because the location seemed large enough for football practice you know how it goes for students most of the time we then began to walk and I was accompanied by flourish one of my close friends who was also enrolled in the program at the very end of the queue flourish and I were walking admittedly at a slower speed than the others we were discussing about girls at the time and I recall that we got very into the conversation you know most guys conversations can either be girls or football he was friends with a girl I liked and I felt like he was offering me advice on how to win her over we weren't really focusing on the other students in the class our route was encircled by dense forest and featured numerous turns and bends quickly making it impossible for us to see the people ahead of us however we didn't really care because we knew we could always catch up I seemed to recall that there was a loud noise to the left at one point during our talk it was the sound of falling twigs and falling leaves and then on the same left side in the woods something appeared to be moving initially we both thought it was an animal although it would have been a big one I remember flourish saying did you you hear that we assumed it was most likely a bear we put an end to our talk and began searching the forest was really dense so we weren't able to see very far meanwhile I thought I noticed some leaves and branches moving but I couldn't figure out why we decided to venture a few feet into the trees because we were inquisitive I basically created my own way at this point by simply walking through the thick undergrowth I was able to see a little better ahead after taking a few steps into the woods we continued to approach possibly getting within 10 ft or so when I suddenly noticed activity in the woods ahead of us it wasn't an animal after all I realized there was a man in front of us but what was a guy doing right here in the middle of the woods I could see that he had long unruly hair and a disheveled beard because he was sporting a brown jacket when he appeared to turn to face us we made the decision to return to the path without saying anything we headed back in the direction we had come from that being said I was a little uneasy when I noticed a man standing in the middle of the thick forest off the path we kept walking in the same direction as our classmates when we returned they were far ahead of us by this point though and it didn't take us long to hear additional closer movement in the woods the figure in the woods appeared to be approaching the trail we were on at this point we chose to ignore it and carried on with our talk only to see later that the man had moved to the path and appeared to be following us in the same direction when I turned to look behind us he was maybe 50 or 47 ft behind us and was simply following along flourish and I decided to move a little quicker because it seemed a little strange now we genuinely wanted to catch up with everyone else we walked quickly for a few minutes but the man's voice was still audible I turned to see that he had now caught up to us walking quickly at our pace and most likely cover ing the same ground behind us we had fallen so far behind the class that we were still unable to hear the others but we eventually reached a junction where the trail could be found going in three different directions left right and straight and we decided to take the left as we didn't know where the other people had gone we discovered that the man had also gone that way with us after a short while of wandering down that path flourish and I made the decision to start running at this moment since we we were both athletic guys who played Sports we could run for a considerable time we thought there was no chance this guy following us from the woods would come after us but he really began to jog it was so obvious now that he was after us for some reason I moved more quickly than flourish did as we both desperately tried to get away from him we became increasingly aware that we had taken the wrong turn as we continued to run if the group had continued in this direction we most likely would have gotten up to them by by now but we were unable to turn around to avoid running into the man who was pursuing us we simply kept running until we made the decision to Veer off course flourish and I both cut off the route and went into the woods where the forest was not as dense we kept running running through the forest getting struck by different tree branches the man hurried after us going off the trail once more and back into the trees we saw another path after what seemed like a long run through the trees we dashed over to the path and began running down it as well we ran on that path for about a minute or so before turning off and back into the trees the man still trailing behind us we were just winging it really having no plan somehow after running through the trees for a bit more we arrived at this opening that had a second picnic place there were actual people around along with a few tables and another parking lot we came out of the woods and approached them happy to see them when we turned to look back the man had not followed us out instead he was still in the trees despite the peculiar looks on their faces as they watched us suddenly run out of the woods we walked through the picnic area and decided to join them at first we were excited at least away from the running and troubles but something about this picnic and the people around it was wrong initially each of the people there had a deformed part of their body I saw a young lady with 20 long fingernails another man was standing with four legs apparently flourish almost vomited on me like it was really strange looking at these people unfortunately a weird-looking young man with two heads walked up to us we wanted to run but we held ourselves because going back to the woods was not an option the man welcomed us to their Festival of change as they called it in this festival or celebration they initiate new members into their midst so looking at us fresh and we came from the woods they thought we were other members sent by the ancestors surprised by the Revelations we quickly declined saying we lost our way with our school group The Man and other members looked at us angrily and told us to find our way out from their premises before they do something terrible to us hurriedly we begged if they could help us to the main road as we didn't want to enter into the woods again one calm and gentle guy who had very long ears like that of an elf pointed us to a pathway close to them and then there was a different path that kind of passed by on the opposite side I had no idea where to go so flourish and I just strolled down the trail for a while until we heard noises from somewhere ahead of us after a minute or two subsequently we observed Mr Ahmed and the other students coming our way we were Overjoyed to see them even though they were shocked to see us Mr Ahmed inquired about what happened to us when we finally told him the story he wasn't upset with us at all in fact he thought it was humorous and proceeded to tease us about it for the remaining time of the lesson I'm relieved that we we managed to escape the man I'm not sure who he was or what he might have wanted from us but he seemed upset that we had bothered him while he was strolling in the woods I think it's odd that he was literally rushing after us but I'm not sure that was my most unforgettable field trip.
