Story 1: The Two Horrible Men I was travelling with my wife during the summer. We were returning home after attending a wedding that was roughly four states away from our residence. We would have to spend one night in a hotel because the drive was too far to do in a single day. We stayed in a really good motel around halfway there while travelling. When we looked at the costs and saw that there was far less availability, we lost our hopes of staying there on the way back as well. I reasoned that it wouldn't be a big deal because there would be lots of excellent hotels for us to stay at on our way back. On the way back, my wife and I alternated driving; after a few hours, I let my wife take the wheel. That evening, I went back to driving. At around 10 p.m., I started to feel quite tired. My wife was fast asleep when I looked over, and because I wasn't entirely sure where we were, I took the next exit off the motorway and stopped to investigate. After filling up my tank at a gas station, I went on my phone and looked for hotels in that area. There weren't many in the vicinity, and the search turned up around three of them that appeared to be nearby. The rates on the first one I saw caught my eye, and I clicked on it. After that, I glanced at the other two. Sadly, none of them were that pleasant, but it was getting late, and all I wanted was a place to sleep because I was growing increasingly exhausted. I drove to the one I had selected, which was barely five minutes away. My wife had woken up when we got there. She answered that it appeared to be adequate when I inquired if it looked like a nice place to spend the night. The hotel featured rooms on both the upper and lower levels, all of which opened directly into the parking lot outside. There weren't many cars in the parking lot, which suggested that not many people were present. It was obviously not the nicest area in town, though, judging by some of the older, rusty cars parked around the parking lot. I entered the reception hall, and after I was assigned a room, my wife and I returned to our car, picked up our bags, and headed to our ground-floor room. Even if our expectations had been low, we weren't too impressed when we entered the room. Though the bathroom mirror had multiple apparent streaks on it and the TV was still in its box, we were too exhausted to drive, so we went to bed and promptly fell asleep. Nevertheless, loud bangs coming from our hotel's door woke us up. When I woke up, I looked at the time; it was 2 am. Who could this be? I climbed out of bed slowly, and the knocking persisted. When I went to the door, I was about to open it, but I changed my mind and looked at the two big men who were waiting outside. They appeared to be furious for no apparent reason, and despite their black jackets, they did not appear to be friendly at all. I saw the man on the other side of the door, inches from where my eyes were focused, pound loudly on it. It was not my intention to let him in. This gave me a horrible feeling. They kept knocking, and I wasn't sure what to do. As I continued to scan the area for potential intruders, I noticed the other man at the door move to the window and begin tapping on it. Still, this went on for a few minutes. before it eventually ceased. I observed the men as they appeared to stroll along the pavement in front of the hotel. My wife asked who they were. I informed her that I was as clueless as she was. I decided to go outside and ask questions at this moment. I felt very little like going outside, but I opened the door and peered around; I didn't see anyone or anything. I returned inside and decided to simply go back to sleep since I didn't feel safe. We were ultimately able to, though it took some time. We were all set to head out the moment we woke up the following morning. There was no breakfast available at the hotel, and we hadn't taken anything with us. We left after I took a shower and got dressed. We got out of the hotel room and carried our belongings outside to the car at around seven in the morning. As we approached our vehicle and got inside, I saw another vehicle parked with its back to us and facing the parking lot. Sitting in the front seats of the car were the two men I had seen the night before, and I knew right away that they were the ones who had been pounding on our door. My wife was perplexed when I first pointed them out to her before I clarified that those were the men who were knocking. The men in the car opened their doors and started to move towards us as I was loading my suitcase into the trunk of our vehicle. We rushed inside the car, and I turned on the car as soon as I could. By the time I started to drive away, the men were barely halfway to us because they were parked rather far away. We took off without turning around. Fortunately, nobody followed us or anything similar. I still don't know why those men were observing us or what they wanted from us. It features a penthouse apartment that has played host to numerous notable figures as well as many other notable people. The penthouse was under repair while I stayed there, so it was vacant. I became friends with a security guard late one night, and he asked me and one of my coworkers to see the penthouse. We accepted his offer right away! But he clarified that there was an elevator accessible through a secret door in one of the apartments. It seems that a former owner installed it for easy access to a room where his mistresses resided on a different floor. But regrettably, the guard told us, the woman had died after falling down the elevator shaft. He claimed that even though the elevator was no longer in service, occasionally workers could still hear its creaking noises. I parted ways with my pal as we strolled through every room on the penthouse floor. We concluded that there was no such thing as a ghost, even though the account sounded eerie. It was obvious how beautiful the place was, even in its unfinished state! With our cameras in tow, the two of us shot a tonne of pictures. I once wandered into a tiny hallway that led to the kitchen and appeared to be some sort of servant prep area. Since it was beyond midnight and the lights weren't working, it was challenging to see all of the intricacies. I was terrified and felt cold as soon as I took a few steps into the area. I also recalled the account the guard had told us. Is this the woman's ghost coming back to haunt me? Is this hotel haunted? My instincts urged me to turn around since I was really afraid, so I did. I kept looking around the room and ultimately went to one of the balconies to meet up with my friend. After exchanging brief words of wisdom with the security guy, we thanked him and departed. We didn't start talking about the penthouse's specifics until the next day, while we were travelling home from the convention. She acknowledged that she had seen the dim corridor leading to the kitchen when I inquired if she had. Nevertheless, I admitted to her that I had begun to move down the corridor but had stopped because it seemed eerie, chilly, and even malevolent. She gave me a nod of agreement as she excitedly described to me how she had entered the same area and had a strong sense of evil. She said she felt a very real bodily sensation and that she turned around and exited the room right away. The fact that we had experienced nearly the same emotions in the same location and hadn't shared the information until nearly a whole day later fascinated us both. It remains one of the most bizarre hotel experiences I've ever had! Remarkably, my research into the hotel revealed that it is reputed to be haunted. It seems that other people have also had unsettling experiences here. Story 3: FOLLOWED BY MALEVOLENT GHOSTS After a lengthy journey, driving in a distant city was becoming tiresome. Considering that it was already mid-afternoon, I decided to check into a hotel before maybe going for a walk. I was in the middle of a horrible nightmare when I woke up in the middle of the night after spending the afternoon exploring a cemetery. In my dream, I was rolling down a field of dry corn stalks while attached to the spokes of a blazing wheel. I saw my clock displaying 666 just as my hair started to catch fire. I saw black wings fluttering behind my head, resembling bats, in the mirror after washing my face in the restroom. And when I turned around, nothing was in the room, even though I sensed a presence. I couldn't sleep and spent the entire night awake. I went out of the hotel the next morning to fetch a coffee. A black bird dropped lifeless from the skies at my feet the moment I set foot on the pavement. Then, just in front of me, a car struck a man. Subsequently, the little stray dog that I had been providing food for for about a month lay lifeless beside the church. I had the impression that I was a walking bad luck charm. I carried out my intention to attend the Museo de la Medicina Maya, unsure of what to do. It is devoted to the preservation of Tzotzil and Tzeltal medicine, healing arts, and customs from their ancestral homeland in Chiapas. Apart from the herb garden and exhibits, there was a communal area where one might seek advice from a nearby shaman. I was informed, through a translator, that I had done something wrong and that evil spirits or energies were after me, trying to cling to me. He did, however, write up a prescription for the supplies needed for a spiritual cleaning, which I had filled out by a woman running a market booth. I carried a basket filled with fragrant herbs, eggs, and basil when I went back to the Mayan centre. Following an intense ritual including copal, smoke, herbs, and chanting, he pronounced me spirit-free. He advised me to spiritually shield myself going forward before venturing into places like cemeteries where lost souls or other negative energy might be hiding or looking for a home. I was so happy to leave the clinic having gained a lesson and being rid of the bad vibes. I now make an effort to remember not to go to potentially dangerous areas unless I'm well-protected. On its own, it was a terrible experience.
